When to edit

Generally you leave editing something until you're asked to do so.

When to delete

Deleteing stories is a fairly last resort. If somebody is crapflooding, then yes, delete the stories. Don't go through their history and delete everything they've ever posted though :)
Generally, for something like a goatse post, or something that's personally offensive to somebody you should just banish it. To do that, you edit the story, and change the section to "Crap"

Deleteing comments is pretty much a last resort. You've got super-mojo, use it to zero the comment.
Feel free to delete a comment if it's breaking page formatting, or somebodies posting goatse images or something like that.

Polls and things

You've also got the ability to make front page polls! Use it.

Logs

As you can see from the "Log" option on your admin menu, everything is logged. It's a bit of a bug that it logs every diary posted, but I'll fix that someday :)
So, if you fuck something up, we can get it back, don't worry.
