In before "you sound like a sick cat."

I done uploaded my MFC entry.

I could not get any of the various themes onto a track.  I just couldn't.  Heck, I couldn't even use my new guitar.

So I just now sat down and did a cover of UB40's "All I Wanna' Do" as a straight-up acoustic folk tune.  I think the lyrics are very HuSi ("I don't like the work but true I need the money" and "All I wanna' do is stay at home with you"), the song itself is by a proto-reggae band and mentions an island in the sun (fitting the Hawaii 50 thing???) and, well, fuck it.  It's a cover tune.  Of a bad British pop song.

Yeah.  YEAH, BABY.

It's, like, not at all good.  OK, it's decent.  But I also didn't have my mixer / usb devices / protools setup (too much goddamn work and cleanup involved) so I recorded it in garageband with a crap mic.

Enjoy! (Link is to all entries, just in case you need to compare my bout of insanity to a group of fine songs).

but it's so very nearly almost not in the spirit of the MFC, I almost feel bad putting it out there.

The last section aside, neither's mine.

FWIW, I think your version is ten times better than UB40's take on it.
